The Anti-Communist Resistance: Scientific Research and Museum Valuation
vol II, Argonaut Publishing House, 2006. Editors: Cosmin Budeanca, Florentin Olteanu, Iulia Pop
The main theme of the book undertakes various aspects of the communist regime, from the re-education process that took place in the prisons of Piteşti and Târgşor to the deportations to the Bărăgan Plain, as well as to the multiple manifestations of Romanians in exile. The great majority of the studies within the volume present various ways towards a productive museum valuation of the communist period, namely ways of organizing communism-centred exhibitions. Last but not least, one should also mention the studies which propose educational projects referring to the communism regime.
The authors are well-known Romanian and foreign historiographers, researchers and professors, among whom Benedetto Benedetti (The Superior Teacher’s Training School of Tisa, Italy), Ştefan Câlţia (The University of Fine Arts, Bucharest), Ioan Ciupea (The National History Museum of Transylvania, Cluj-Napoca), Dan Duşleag (School of Medicine – Indiana University, U.S.A.), Maria Schmidt (House of Terror, Budapest, Hungary), Violeta Stoycheva (University of Veliko – Tarnovo, Bulgaria).
